Abstract The accuracy of finite element model updating for structural damage identification is easily affected by the noise in measured modal, so sliding smoothing method introduced to reduce impact noise. In each iteration step, denoising applied difference between modal and simulated from because time-frequency characteristic actual different modal. parameters after are used construct objective function updating, optimal question solved determine stiffness model. Finally, change can indicate position magnitude. numerical analysis shows proposed improve robustness identification.
